The compact housing unit was designed as an off-grid solution for resident scientists, exploring minimal mass concepts to optimize living spaces and enhance comfort while seamlessly integrating research functionality. Tailored for two resident scientists, the space serves as both a living area and a laboratory, designed to support their research while accommodating occasional guests. Equipped with water tanks, the off-grid unit ensures self-sufficiency in the pristine wilderness just outside the village.​
